Hi everyone, I wanted to share my recent experience with resolving a BidCos-RF issue in my smart home setup. It all started when I noticed that my BidCos-RF devices suddenly stopped working. No updates, no communication—just silence. I was puzzled because I hadn’t made any recent changes to my system.
First, I checked the logs, which showed a series of connection errors. I tried the usual troubleshooting steps: restarting the CCU, resetting the devices, and even unplugging them for a few minutes. Unfortunately, none of these resolved the issue.
Determined to get to the bottom of it, I decided to dig deeper. I reviewed the error messages and noticed a recurring theme related to XML-RPC communication failures. This led me to suspect a potential software issue or corrupted file on the CCU.
After some research, I found that others had experienced similar problems and suggested checking the firmware version. I compared my CCU’s firmware with the latest release and discovered that it was outdated. Updating the firmware seemed like the next logical step.
The firmware update process was straightforward, but I made sure to back up my configuration first. Once the update was complete, I rebooted the system and crossed my fingers. To my relief, the BidCos-RF devices were back online and functioning as expected!
This experience taught me the importance of keeping firmware up to date and thoroughly checking logs for clues. I’d like to hear from others—have you faced similar issues, and how did you resolve them? It’s always reassuring to know that the community is here to help when things go south.
Happy troubleshooting and keep those smart homes running smoothly! ![]()
