Hey everyone, I’ve been using the Wyze doorbell for a while now and I’ve noticed something a bit puzzling. Whenever someone presses the doorbell or when it detects motion, I receive the same notification on my phone. At first, I thought it was supposed to work differently, where a doorbell press and motion detection would trigger separate notifications. I’ve checked the settings and there are three notification categories for Wyze on my Android phone, but it seems like only one is active for both doorbell presses and motion detection. This has made it a bit confusing to distinguish between actual visitors and, say, a squirrel darting past the door. I’m wondering if this is the intended behavior or if there’s a way to set it up so that doorbell presses and motion detections send separate notifications. I’ve tried adjusting the notification settings in the Wyze app, but I haven’t found an option to differentiate between the two. Has anyone else encountered this and found a solution? It would be great to have clearer notifications to avoid unnecessary alerts. Thanks in advance for any advice!
