Hello everyone, I wanted to share my recent experiences with setting up Zigbee2MQTT in Home Assistant and contributing to the SmartThings community. I encountered a container conflict issue while installing Zigbee2MQTT, which was resolved by renaming the existing container. This allowed me to successfully set up my new Sonoff 3.0 device. It was a bit tricky, but I managed to get everything working smoothly in the end.
On a more positive note, I recently made my first code contribution to the SmartThings community. I enhanced the Aeontec Home Energy Monitor Device Type by adding features like solar tracking, Android color correction, and a calibration option. This was a rewarding experience, and I hope it can help others who are looking to optimize their energy monitoring setup. If anyone has questions or needs assistance with similar projects, feel free to reach out!
It’s amazing to see how the community comes together to solve problems and improve our smart home setups. I’m excited to continue learning and contributing to the community in the future. Happy smart home tinkering everyone! ![]()
