Hi everyone, I’m trying to set up my Ring Doorbell Pro, but I’m a bit confused about the transformer configuration. My current mechanical bell has a built-in 12V transformer, and I want to use the transformer provided by Ring. I’ve heard that the Ring transformer outputs 24V, which should work with the doorbell and the wireless chime. But I’m not entirely sure if I need the Ring Pro box or if there’s a bypass required to prevent any damage to the doorbell. I’ve read that the bypass might be needed to make the mechanical bell buzz when the doorbell is pressed, but I’m not certain. If anyone has experience with this setup or can provide some guidance, I’d really appreciate it. Thanks in advance for your help!
