Hey everyone! I’ve been diving into integrating some RS485 devices into my home automation setup, and I wanted to share my experiences and ask for some advice. I’ve been using a USB-to-RS485 converter for communication, but I’ve run into some challenges, especially with certain devices not responding correctly. For example, I’m trying to read some registers from the PAS600L meter, but I’m getting ###### instead of the expected values when connected. Without the converter, it works fine, showing 0.00. I’ve tried different baud rates and configurations, but nothing seems to resolve the issue. Does anyone have any tips on ensuring reliable communication over RS485? I’d love to hear about the interfaces others are using and any troubleshooting techniques you’ve found effective.
