Samsung M70C Smart Monitor Compatibility with Google Home

Hello everyone, I’m excited to share my experience with the Samsung M70C Smart Monitor and how I managed to integrate it into my Google Home setup. While the process had its challenges, the outcome was well worth the effort!

Initial Setup and Challenges
I recently purchased the Samsung M70C Smart Monitor and successfully added it to my SmartThings app. However, when I tried linking my Google Home hub to my SmartThings account, the monitor didn’t appear alongside my other devices like the TV and soundbar. This was a bit puzzling since the other devices worked seamlessly. I unlinked and re-linked multiple times, but the issue persisted.

Exploring Solutions
After some research, I discovered that not all devices might be supported by Google Home, even if they’re compatible with SmartThings. I reached out to the community and found that others had similar experiences. Some suggested checking for firmware updates or ensuring the device was correctly paired with SmartThings before linking to Google Home.

The Breakthrough
I decided to try a fresh start. I completely removed the SmartThings integration from my Google Home account, uninstalled the SmartThings app, and restarted both devices. After reinstalling the SmartThings app and re-adding all my devices, I carefully linked them again to Google Home. This time, the M70C monitor appeared alongside my other devices!
