Hey everyone, I just wanted to share my experience with my new MP3 Gong (HM-OU-CFM-Pl). I’ve been really happy with it so far—it’s such a versatile addition to my home security setup. The ability to customize messages and play MP3 files is fantastic, and the built-in speaker is a nice touch. However, I’ve noticed something that’s been a bit of a nuisance, and I’m hoping someone here can offer some advice.
The issue I’m facing is with the volume. The product specs mention a loudness of 105 dB, but in reality, even at 100% volume, it doesn’t seem to reach that level. Whether I’m using the built-in gong tones or my own MP3 files, the sound is much quieter than expected. I’ve tried adjusting the volume settings in the web interface, but even at max, it’s not as loud as I’d like it to be. This is a bit concerning because, in an emergency, I want the gong to be heard clearly throughout the house.
Has anyone else experienced this? Is there a way to increase the volume beyond what’s offered in the settings? Maybe there’s a firmware update or a workaround I haven’t discovered yet. I’d really appreciate any tips or suggestions you might have. I love the functionality of this device, and I’m hoping to find a solution to make it even better.
