Hi everyone, I’ve been experiencing some issues with my Schlage BE469ZP lock and thought I’d share my journey in case others might find it helpful or have insights to add.
It all started out of the blue when I tried to unlock the deadbolt using the keypad. Instead of the usual response, I was greeted with 3 flashing red Xs. At first, I assumed it was a battery issue, so I replaced them. Unfortunately, the problem persisted even after several attempts and swapping the keypad with another identical lock I own.
I noticed that entering a user code resulted in a mix of green checks and red Xs, along with some beeps, which wasn’t covered in the user manual. This made me think the issue might be more complex than a simple battery problem. I also tried disconnecting and reconnecting the batteries, as well as manually toggling the bolt, but nothing seemed to resolve the issue.
Interestingly, the lock still shows up on my network, and I can see its status change when I manually toggle the bolt. However, digital commands from my Hubitat setup aren’t working either, which adds another layer to the mystery.
I’d love to hear if anyone else has encountered similar issues or has any troubleshooting steps I haven’t tried yet. Maybe there’s a reset process or a specific sequence of actions that could help. I’m determined to get this sorted out, and any advice would be greatly appreciated!
