On another note, I’ve been experimenting with automating my smart home setup. I recently came across the idea of integrating a podcast player with my Google Nest speaker. The goal is to have the podcast stop at the end of an episode, but I’m struggling to find a reliable way to detect the end of an episode. I tried using Home Assistant to send a media stop command, but it doesn’t seem to trigger at the right moment. If anyone has experience with this or knows of a solution, I’d be really grateful for the advice!
Lastly, I’ve been dealing with some recurring profile updates on my smart devices, which is a bit annoying. Every time I turn around, there’s a notification about a new profile update. I’ve tried turning off automatic updates, but it doesn’t seem to help. I’d love to find a way to stop these constant prompts without losing the ability to update when necessary.
