Hello everyone, I’m new to the forum and excited to share my journey with smart home technology. I’ve been experimenting with various devices, and while most have been a breeze, a few have given me a bit of a headache. I’m hoping the community can shed some light on these issues!
First, I recently acquired a Schlage Zwave Plus lock, hoping it would seamlessly integrate into my existing smart home setup. However, I’ve encountered some compatibility issues. The lock pairs successfully, but the hub doesn’t recognize it as a valid device, assigning it the generic ‘Device’ type. I’ve tried changing the device type to ‘Generic Zwave Lock’ in the settings, but it still doesn’t function as expected. I’m wondering if anyone has experience with this model and if there’s a workaround or specific settings I might have missed.
Another issue I’ve come across is with my Govee lights. They occasionally start flashing randomly, which is both distracting and concerning. I’m curious if this is a common issue or if there’s a way to troubleshoot or resolve it. I’ve tried resetting the devices, but the problem persists.
Lastly, I’ve been trying to set up my Hue lights and noticed that the ON/OFF switch is missing from the Paper UI. I have all other controls, but the most essential one is missing. I’m not sure if this is a configuration issue or if there’s a specific setting I need to enable to make it appear.
