Scledge Deadbolt and Leverlock Workaround Solution

Hey everyone, I wanted to share my experience with the Scledge Deadbolt and Leverlock. I’ve been trying to set up both devices but ran into a problem where they were too close together, causing some control issues. It was frustrating because I could set up one device, but then the other wouldn’t work properly. I tried removing and re-adding them multiple times, but the control kept switching between the two devices, which was really inconvenient.

After some trial and error, I found a workaround that’s been working well for me. I decided to remove the lever lock from the network and only keep the deadbolt connected. To let people in remotely, I use a guest code on the lever lock keypad. This way, they can enter the code and I can remotely unlock the deadbolt for them. It’s a bit of a hassle, but it’s reliable and keeps things secure.

I also wanted to share a few tips that might help others in similar situations:

  • Test Placement: Make sure your devices are placed far enough apart to avoid interference.
  • Guest Codes: Using guest codes can be a great temporary solution for remote access.
  • Regular Checks: Keep an eye on your device connections and be ready to troubleshoot if issues arise.

I hope this helps someone else who’s struggling with similar issues. It’s been a bit of a learning curve, but I’m happy with how things are working out now. If anyone has other suggestions or solutions, I’d love to hear them!
