As a homeowner with a diverse collection of smart home devices, I’ve always been curious about how to achieve seamless integration across different brands. My journey began with a mix of Sonoff, ESP, and Govee devices, each offering unique features but often requiring separate configurations. 
Recently, I explored integrating my ESP32 devices with a Sonoff setup, which initially posed some challenges. I found that ensuring stable WiFi connections while enabling Bluetooth for my Xiaomi sensors was a bit tricky. By tweaking the ESP32_ble_tracker settings and optimizing my network, I managed to get everything working smoothly. 
One of the most rewarding experiences was setting up a custom automation using REST commands to trigger motion sensors across different devices. While there were some hiccups, especially after a Home Assistant update, I discovered that checking the device IDs and ensuring proper URL formatting was key to resolving issues. 
I’m also intrigued by the idea of using a mobile phone for coding and compiling ESPHome projects during my vacation. Although I haven’t fully implemented this yet, exploring Python IDEs on Android has been a fun learning experience.
