Season Start Date Adjustment

Hi all, I have this sensor added for the seasons in Home Assistant, but I noticed something interesting. The sensor reports that autumn starts on September 1st, but here in the Netherlands, autumn actually starts on September 22nd. I was wondering if there’s a way to adjust this setting to match the local meteorological seasons.

I came across the Northern Meteorological Seasons, which define autumn as starting on September 22nd and ending on December 20th. However, Home Assistant’s default setting for autumn is from September 1st to November 30th. I’m curious if there’s a configuration option or a custom integration that allows me to set a different start date for the seasons.

I checked the documentation and some forums, but I couldn’t find a direct way to change the start date. Maybe there’s a workaround or a custom script that can adjust the season sensor’s values based on the local dates. If anyone has experience with this or knows of a solution, I’d greatly appreciate the help!

Thanks in advance for your insights and suggestions. Let’s see if we can make Home Assistant’s seasons align with the Dutch meteorological calendar.
