Seasonal Setup and Govee Review

As the seasons change, I’ve been exploring ways to make my home more adaptable. One feature I recently discovered is the ability to set up seasonal sensors in Home Assistant. I’m curious if it’s possible to customize these sensors to display in my native language, especially for summer and winter settings. It would be a nice touch to have everything in a language I’m comfortable with!

Speaking of customization, I’ve been using the Govee indoor-outdoor thermohygrometer, and it’s been a great addition to my setup. The unboxing was straightforward, and the device is both stylish and functional. However, I’ve noticed that the outdoor sensor tends to drift slightly in extreme temperatures. I’d love to hear if others have encountered similar issues or have tips for calibration.

Another idea I’ve been tossing around is implementing a confirmation step before certain automation actions. For example, when arming the security system, it would be reassuring to receive a quick notification asking, ‘Is this correct?’ This could prevent accidental activations and add an extra layer of security.

I’d also love to hear about others’ experiences with integrating different smart devices. Do you have a preferred method for managing multiple brands or protocols? Any tricks for ensuring seamless communication between devices would be invaluable!

Let’s keep the conversation going and share our tips, tricks, and experiences. Happy automating! :star2:
