Hello everyone! I’m really excited to share my latest project with you. I’ve been thinking about how to secure my Wohnmobil, which has 14 doors and windows, and I want to make sure it’s as safe as possible while still being practical. I stumbled upon the Homematic IP system and thought it might be the perfect solution, but I’m a bit unsure about how everything will work together, especially since I’m on the go a lot.
I’ve read through some forums and it seems like the CCU2 might be the way to go. My plan is to use door contacts for all the doors and windows, and maybe a presence sensor to detect if someone is inside. I also want to set it up so that the smaller skylights don’t trigger the alarm if they’re left open during warm weather. The idea is to keep things simple but effective. I’m also thinking about using a siren for alerts and maybe integrating it with my smartphone for notifications when the internet is available.
I’m a bit nervous about the programming part. I’ve heard it can get a bit tricky, but I’m willing to give it a shot. Has anyone else tackled a similar project? I’d love to hear about your experiences, tips, or any potential pitfalls I should watch out for. Your advice would be invaluable as I take on this challenge!
Thanks in advance for your help and support! I’m really looking forward to hearing from you all.
