Securing My Smart Home Cameras: A Fun DIY Project

Hey everyone, I wanted to share a fun little project I recently worked on to secure my smart home cameras. I’ve been using Pan Cams indoors for a while now, but I noticed something odd—my cameras kept going offline or resetting for no apparent reason. I later caught one of my kids accidentally pressing the reset button on the base!

I’ve been meaning to find a way to make the camera bases tamper-proof, but I didn’t want to spend too much money on a solution. So, I decided to try a DIY approach. I considered putting the camera on a metal plate with a tamper-proof screw, but I thought I’d first check if there’s a simpler, off-the-shelf solution available.

I ended up finding a neat little bracket that screws into the wall and holds the camera securely in place. It’s not just tamper-proof—it also makes the camera look more professional in my living room. I love how it turned out! :dart:

I’d love to hear if anyone else has tackled this issue or has any clever solutions they’d like to share. Let’s keep our smart homes safe and secure!
