I would love to be able to use the thermostat as a security system control panel, changing status while being passcode protected at my entry door.

@jasonpliska8 You seem to be experiencing an issue with using the thermostat as a security system control panel with passcode protection for changing status. You can contact customer support for assistance. Contact the Aqara Home App Customer Service Team (Profile> Help & Feedback > Customer Service) or scan the QR code:

That would indeed be a good idea. For now, the only option is to add scenes that more or less achieve the same thing.
