Seeking a Universal Smart Switch Solution

I’ve been diving into the world of smart home automation, and I must say, it’s been a fascinating journey! One of my recent projects has been integrating various smart devices into my home, and I’ve come across a challenge that I’m eager to solve. I’m currently on the hunt for the perfect wall switch that can act both as a classic manual switch and as a Zigbee actuator. This means it should seamlessly receive signals from a Zigbee controller and physically toggle the connected circuit without sending any switching signals when manually operated.

I’ve explored several options and found that most Zigbee-enabled switches only function as senders, which doesn’t quite meet my needs. Ideally, I’d love to find a solution that’s compatible with my existing Gira wall switch frames. It would be fantastic if I could simply extend them with a new module that implements the desired functionality without having to replace the entire setup. I’m curious if anyone out there has encountered a similar challenge or has found a product that ticks all these boxes. Any insights or recommendations would be invaluable!

This quest has made me appreciate the complexity of integrating different smart home ecosystems. It’s clear that the terminology and specifications can sometimes be a bit overwhelming, but it’s also inspiring to see the community’s creativity in overcoming such hurdles. I’m hopeful that with a bit more research and perhaps some trial and error, I’ll find the perfect solution. Until then, I’ll keep exploring and sharing my findings here. Thanks for your time and any advice you might have!
