I’m thrilled to share my recent journey into the world of smart home technology! I’ve been working on setting up a system that integrates various devices to create a seamless and efficient living environment. My setup includes a Schlage smart lock, Philips Hue lighting, and a Ring security camera, all aiming to work together for a cohesive experience.
So far, I’ve managed to create some basic automations, like turning on lights when I unlock the door or arming the security system when I leave. However, I’m encountering a challenge with the integration between my Schlage lock and thermostat. Specifically, when I unlock the door, I want the thermostat to adjust to a comfortable temperature, but it doesn’t seem to recognize the lock’s signal.
I’m curious if others have successfully integrated similar devices and if there are any tips or tricks to ensure smooth communication between different brands. Any advice or experiences you can share would be invaluable as I continue to refine my smart home setup!
