Hello everyone, I hope this message finds you well! I’m reaching out to seek some guidance on a few challenges I’ve encountered with my OpenHAB setup. It’s been a bit of a rollercoaster, but I’m determined to get everything working smoothly again. Here’s what’s been happening:
First, after performing a routine update using the openhabian-config tool, I noticed that my IHC binding (which controls my lights) stopped working. I tried restarting the system, flushing the cache, and reinstalling the binding, but nothing seems to fix it. The logs show an error related to an embedded Java update that I accidentally approved during the update process. I’m not entirely sure how this update has affected the binding, so any insights would be greatly appreciated.
Additionally, I’ve been having trouble with my Hue app. It’s crucial for managing my scenes and groups, but it’s not functioning as it should. I’ve tried reinstalling the app and checking the Hue bridge settings, but the issue persists. I’m really missing the convenience of my scenes, so resolving this would mean a lot.
Lastly, I’ve encountered an issue with a Python script I wrote to interact with my smart devices. The script is supposed to read a value from a sensor, but it’s throwing an error related to the syntax of the command I’m using. Specifically, it’s having trouble parsing the string read xcom.xt1.3000. I’ve tried different syntax variations, but I’m not quite sure where I’m going wrong. Any help with this would be fantastic!
I’ve been troubleshooting these issues for a while now, but I’m hitting a wall. I’m hoping the community can offer some suggestions or point me in the right direction. I truly appreciate the support and wisdom shared here—I’ve learned so much from this community already!
Thank you in advance for your time and assistance. I’m really looking forward to getting these issues sorted out and having my system back up and running smoothly.
Best regards,
