I’ve been a big fan of Netatmo’s security cameras for a while now, but recently I’ve encountered some troubling issues with four of my cameras. They’ve developed infrared failures, which is quite concerning given their importance in my home security setup. The cameras include three Welcome models and one Presence unit. I’ve tried the usual troubleshooting steps like reboots and resets, but nothing seems to help. The cameras click when it gets dark, indicating they’re detecting motion, but the infrared functionality just doesn’t kick in.
I’ve reached out to Netatmo support, and they’ve offered a discount on replacements, though the price is still quite close to what I’d pay on Amazon. This makes me wonder if there’s a firmware update that might have caused this issue. I’ve always been impressed with Netatmo’s product suite, but if this is a hardware failure, it does make me question the reliability of their devices a bit.
Has anyone else experienced similar issues with their Netatmo cameras? I’d love to hear if there are any workarounds or solutions others have found. I’m hoping it’s not a widespread problem and that there’s a fix or replacement option that can restore my confidence in these cameras. Any advice or recommendations would be greatly appreciated!
