Hello everyone, I’m diving into the world of smart home automation and it’s both exciting and a bit overwhelming! I’ve been working on setting up my SmartThings Hub and integrating my Nest Thermostats, but I’ve hit a snag that I need some help with.
I followed the instructions from a GitHub guide to configure the device type and published it, which showed up in my list. I’ve also created a new device for each of my two Nest Thermostats. However, I’m stuck on where to enter my Nest devices’ serial numbers as outlined in step 4. The only edit button I see doesn’t have a field for the serial number, and I can’t find a Preferences button either. I’m hoping someone here can shed some light on this issue!
I’ve tried searching online and checking forums, but I haven’t found a clear solution yet. Maybe I’m missing something obvious? I’d really appreciate any tips or guidance you can offer. Let me know if you need more details from my setup!
