Seeking Advice on Z-Wave Network Instability

Hello everyone, I’m reaching out to the community for some guidance on an issue I’ve been experiencing with my Z-Wave network. It’s been a bit of a puzzle, and I’m hoping someone might have some insights or suggestions to help me get it sorted out.

I recently set up a Z-Wave network using a Raspberry Pi 4 with a SLUSB001A by Silicon Labs dongle. The network has been functional, but unfortunately, it’s been experiencing regular outages. After a power cycle, the network typically works for a few hours to a few days before stopping responding. This has been quite frustrating, especially since I was hopeful it would be more reliable after the initial setup.

I’ve tried several troubleshooting steps, including updating the firmware to 7.18.2, which didn’t seem to make a difference. I’ve also attempted healing the network multiple times, but that hasn’t resolved the issue either. The error logs I’ve reviewed mention a timeout while waiting for an ACK from the controller, which I believe is related to communication issues between the controller and the devices.

My setup includes 13 Z-Wave devices, with 3 being battery-powered and the rest acting as repeaters. The dongle is connected via a USB 2.0 extender cable to minimize interference. I’ve also tried moving the dongle to a different USB port, but that hasn’t helped either.

I’m curious if anyone else has experienced similar issues or if there are specific steps I might have missed in the setup or troubleshooting process. Any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated, as I’m eager to get this network working reliably. I’m also happy to provide additional details or logs if needed.

Thank you in advance for your help and support! It’s truly amazing to be part of such a helpful and knowledgeable community.
