While I’ve managed to control my Ikea bulbs successfully, the remote hasn’t been as cooperative. From what I understand, the remote doesn’t directly send information to the coordinator, which is a bit frustrating. However, I came across some promising work on zigbee2mqtt where they’ve implemented support for the Tradfri remote. They mentioned using a Zigbee sniffer to extract the Group ID, which I’ve managed to obtain using my CC2531 sniffer. Now, the big question is: can this Group ID be utilized within the OpenHAB Zigbee binding to enable the Tradfri remote? I’d greatly appreciate any insights or experiences others might have on this topic. Additionally, I’m curious if there’s a way to transfer the remote from the Telegesis coordinator to a newly flashed CC2531 without resetting it, as resetting changes the Group ID, making the process quite cumbersome.
