As a long-time user of SmartThings, I’ve always been impressed by its capabilities and the seamless integration it offered. However, my recent experience with the V2 hub has been less than ideal. After moving homes and setting up a new system, I encountered numerous issues, particularly with Zigbee functionality. Devices would randomly disappear, and even the SmartThings-branded sensors I purchased with the hub weren’t working as expected.
The support process has been frustrating. While I appreciate the team’s responsiveness, the repeated basic troubleshooting steps didn’t address the core issue. My latest attempt to resolve the problem through RMA approval has been delayed for months, leaving me questioning the current state of SmartThings under Samsung’s ownership.
Given these challenges, I’m now exploring alternatives like Hubitat and Wink. I’m curious to hear from others who have successfully transitioned to these platforms or have insights on maintaining a robust Zigbee network. Any recommendations or tips would be greatly appreciated! ![]()
