Hello fellow smart home enthusiasts! I’ve been diving into the world of smart home automation for a while now, and while I’ve managed to set up a pretty solid system, I’m currently facing a few hurdles that I could really use some help with. I’d greatly appreciate any insights or advice you might have to offer!
First off, I’ve noticed that my Wyze Watch 47 isn’t vibrating when I receive group texts, which is a bit of a nuisance. It works fine when I send texts from another phone, but group texts come in as MMS, and it seems like the app only recognizes SMS. I’d love to find a workaround or know if there’s an update in the works to support MMS notifications. Group messaging has become so essential, especially with how gatherings have changed post-COVID, so this feature is pretty crucial for me.
Another issue I’m grappling with is related to my Schlage deadbolt locks. After changing the batteries in one of them, it stopped communicating with my Vera2/UI4 system. The lock still works, but the light flashes orange instead of green, and I can’t poll it from within the UI. I’ve tried resetting it, but nothing seems to work. I’d really appreciate any guidance on how to re-establish communication between the lock and my Vera system without having to replace the entire unit.
Lastly, I’ve been having some trouble with my Inovelli dimmer switch. It’s been flooding my network with traffic, which I noticed when reviewing my logs. The switch is only used occasionally, but the logs show a constant stream of activity. I’m not sure if this is a firmware issue or something else, and I’d love to find a way to stabilize the connection without having to replace the switch.
I’ve tried troubleshooting each of these issues on my own, but I’m hitting a bit of a wall. I’d be incredibly grateful for any suggestions or solutions the community might have. Your expertise and willingness to help are truly appreciated!
Looking forward to hearing from you all and hopefully getting these issues sorted out!
Best regards,
