Seeking Assistance with Z-Wave Device Addition

I recently encountered a frustrating issue while trying to add a Z-Wave device to my smart home setup. It feels like a game of Russian roulette each time I attempt to integrate a new device. Here’s my story:

I was adding an Aotec contact sensor to my Z-Wave network, which had been functioning perfectly clean until this point. I decided to try SmartStart, thinking it might simplify the process. Unfortunately, the app on my iPhone wouldn’t let me scroll to complete the registration, and now I have two ‘ghost’ devices in my Z-Wave table.

I’ve tried removing the batteries and refreshing the devices multiple times, but the ‘remove’ option doesn’t seem to do anything. Rebooting the hub and attempting the steps again didn’t help either. I even connected my Z-Stick to see if those devices appear there, but they don’t, making it impossible to remove them from the network. The logs are filled with ‘zwave network responded with busy’ messages, which doesn’t provide much clarity.

I’m at a loss for what to do next. Any suggestions or advice would be greatly appreciated! I’m hopeful that the community can help me resolve this issue and get my Z-Wave network back to its former reliability.
