Hello fellow smart home enthusiasts, I’m reaching out to seek some guidance on my smart irrigation setup. I recently integrated the Smart Irrigation integration into my Home Assistant setup to manage watering for my four garden zones. While the concept is promising, I’m encountering some challenges that I hope the community can help me troubleshoot.
My goal is to have the irrigation system activate one hour before sunrise, watering each zone sequentially based on the calculated duration. However, despite setting up the automation with the correct triggers and conditions, it doesn’t seem to initiate as planned. I’ve double-checked the sunrise offset and ensured that the input boolean switches are correctly configured, but the system remains inactive.
I’m particularly interested in understanding if there’s a common oversight in configuring such automations. Additionally, I’m curious if others have successfully implemented similar setups and what optimizations they might recommend. Your insights would be invaluable as I refine this system to ensure efficient watering while respecting water conservation practices.
Thank you in advance for your help and suggestions!
