Hi everyone, I recently purchased new batteries for my APC Back-UPS Pro BR1500G-GR and I’m in the process of calibrating them. While browsing through the community, I found some helpful tips but I’m still a bit unsure about the exact steps. From what I understand, calibration involves draining the batteries with a specific load, but I’m not entirely clear on how to achieve that with my current setup.
I have LED bulbs and my PC, which draws about 70 watts. I think the process involves installing the new batteries, draining them to around 30-35% capacity, charging them for about 18 hours, and then reconnecting my devices. However, I’m curious about the role of PowerChute Personal Edition in this process. Should I click ‘Battery Replaced’ or is there something else I need to do?
I’d really appreciate any advice or experiences others have had with this process. Have you encountered any common pitfalls or tips that made calibration smoother? I’m eager to ensure my UPS is functioning optimally and would be grateful for any insights the community can offer. Thanks in advance for your help!
