Greetings, fellow Openhab enthusiasts! I’m currently in the process of building my automation interface using Openhab 3.0 alongside a Wago PLC, and I must say, it’s been a fantastic journey so far. The integration has been smooth, and I’m really enjoying the flexibility and power that Openhab offers. However, I’ve encountered a snag that’s got me a bit puzzled, and I’m hoping someone here can shed some light on the matter.
As part of my setup, I’ve started exploring the Openhab Android app. I’ve managed to add users through the Openhab console, and logging in via the Paper UI works perfectly with different roles assigned to each user. That’s all great, but I’m trying to enable authentication within the Android app itself. Here’s where things get a bit tricky. When I input the username and password into the app, it stops working entirely. The sitemaps no longer load, and I receive an error message about an SSL certificate issue. I’m not entirely sure what’s causing this, and I’d really appreciate some guidance.
Let me provide a bit more detail about my setup to help narrow things down:
- Platform: Raspberry Pi
- Hardware: [CPU Architecture/RAM/Storage details]
- Operating System: [OS name and version]
- Java Runtime Environment: [Java version]
- Openhab Version: [Openhab version]
I’ve tried troubleshooting by checking the SSL certificate configuration, ensuring that the app has the necessary permissions, and verifying that the credentials are correctly entered. Despite these efforts, the issue persists. If anyone has encountered something similar or has insights into what might be causing this, I’d be incredibly grateful for your advice.
Additionally, if there are specific configurations or logs that would be helpful in diagnosing the problem, please let me know, and I’ll be happy to provide them. The community here has always been so supportive, and I’m hopeful that we can figure this out together.
Thank you in advance for your time and assistance! Let’s keep the wheels turning on this fantastic platform.
Best regards,
