Hi everyone, I’m really excited about my new Zen Zigbee Thermostats and the potential they hold for my smart home setup. However, I’ve encountered a bit of a hurdle that I’m hoping the community can help me overcome.
I’ve been trying to adjust the temperature settings through the thermostat controller app, but it’s been a bit of a challenge. When I set the temperature from my phone, it often doesn’t register immediately. For example, if I change it from 77°F to 70°F, I have to press the down arrow multiple times before it finally sticks. Sometimes it even jumps back up to a higher temperature, which is pretty frustrating. I end up having to manually adjust the thermostats, which defeats the purpose of having a smart system in the first place.
Interestingly, when I use Alexa to set the temperature, it works smoothly the first time. This makes me wonder if there’s something specific about the app or the way I’ve set up the thermostats that’s causing the issue. I’ve read through some of the documentation and forums, but I haven’t found a solution yet.
I’m really hoping to avoid having to purchase new thermostats, as these were a great deal and I’d love to make them work. If anyone has experienced similar issues or has tips on how to resolve this, I’d be incredibly grateful. Maybe there’s a setting I’m missing or a different way to configure the thermostats for better control.
Thank you in advance for your help and suggestions! I’m looking forward to hearing from you and hopefully getting this sorted out.
