Seeking Input on Plugin Development Future

As a long-time user of Vera and its extensive plugin ecosystem, I’ve always been in awe of the contributions from developers like cybrmage. His plugins have been invaluable to my setup, offering functionality that truly enhances my smart home experience. It’s incredible to see the depth of knowledge and dedication that goes into creating and maintaining these tools.

However, I’ve noticed a concerning trend in recent months—a lack of updates or support for certain plugins. This has left me wondering: is development for these plugins officially on hold? While I fully understand that maintaining a plugin can be resource-intensive, especially when it’s offered for free, it would be helpful to have some clarity on the future of these tools.

If there’s indeed a gap in support, I believe the community could step in to ensure these plugins continue to thrive. There are many skilled individuals out there who might be willing to contribute, provided there’s a clear indication that their efforts would be welcome. Collaboration could not only sustain existing plugins but also potentially lead to new features and improvements.

I’d love to hear from anyone who might be in a position to comment on the plugin’s future or from those who might be interested in contributing. Ensuring that these tools remain functional and up-to-date is crucial for the community, and I’m sure many others feel the same way. Let’s keep the spirit of collaboration alive!

Thank you to all the developers who have poured their time and expertise into these plugins. Your work doesn’t go unnoticed, and it’s greatly appreciated.
