Hi everyone, I’m currently in the market for a new mini PC to replace my trusty Intel NUC, which has served me well for over a decade. While it’s still going strong, the time has come for an upgrade. I primarily need this device to run Home Assistant as a virtual machine, along with Plex Media Server, an FTP server, JellyFin, and remote desktop capabilities.
I’ve been looking at a few options, including the Beelink Mini S12 and the Intel NUC 11 Performance Lite. The Beelink S12 seems appealing due to its compact design and decent specs, but the Celeron processor is a bit of a letdown. On the other hand, the Intel NUC 11 feels more familiar and reliable, but I’m curious if there are better alternatives out there.
I’m ideally looking for something that’s available in Europe, preferably Slovakia, and within a budget of around 400-450 Euros. If anyone has experience with these models or can suggest other options, I’d love to hear your thoughts!
Thanks in advance for your help. Let’s make this upgrade a smooth one! ![]()
