However, the challenge arises once I’m in bed—how to conveniently control the lights and ceiling fans without resorting to cumbersome methods.
For years, I’ve been using X10 controllers, which offer on-off buttons for up to eight devices. While these have been reliable, they are gradually failing, prompting me to seek newer, more advanced technologies. My ideal solution would be a system that’s as versatile and user-friendly as the X10 controllers but without the need for a smartphone app, which isn’t practical in the middle of the night. Additionally, I prefer not to use voice commands with Alexa or Google Assistant for such simple tasks.
