Hello everyone, I’m currently in the process of upgrading my home automation system and I’m looking for some recommendations on door sensors, motion detectors, and smart switches. I’ve recently installed a new Aeotec hub v.3 and all my Cree bulbs are working perfectly. However, I’m running into some issues with resetting the remaining devices from my old hub v.1. Specifically, I’m having trouble with the GE In-Wall Smart Switch Model 12722—it just won’t reset no matter what I try. I’ve watched countless videos and followed various troubleshooting guides, but nothing seems to work. At this point, I think it’s best to invest in new devices rather than continue struggling with the old ones.
I’m planning to purchase a small number of each device, so I’m willing to spend a bit more if it means getting reliable, high-quality products. I’ve heard good things about brands like Ring and Reolink for door sensors and motion detectors, but I’m not sure which models to go for. As for smart switches, I’m leaning towards something that’s compatible with my existing setup and easy to integrate. I’d love to hear your experiences and recommendations!
Additionally, I’m curious if anyone has had success with Home Depot’s selection of these devices. I’m considering a trip there soon, but I want to make sure I’m making the right choices. Any tips on what to look for when reading labels or specifications would be greatly appreciated.
