Seeking Reliable Zigbee Motion Sensors for Frequent Event Triggers

Hello everyone, I’m currently working on setting up a smart lighting system in my hallway, and I’m running into an issue with my motion sensor. The goal is to have the lights turn on for a few seconds whenever someone passes by, ensuring safety and convenience. However, I’ve noticed that the motion sensor I’m using doesn’t trigger events frequently enough, especially when multiple people pass by in quick succession. This has led to situations where the lights don’t activate for the second person, leaving them in the dark momentarily.

I’ve been researching different Zigbee motion sensors, but it’s been challenging to find one that reliably triggers events in shorter intervals. The Aqara motion sensor I’ve been testing, for instance, only sends the next event after several minutes, which isn’t ideal for my setup. I’m curious if anyone has experience with a sensor that can handle shorter intervals or if there are any workarounds to adjust the event frequency of the Aqara sensor.

I’d greatly appreciate any recommendations or insights from the community. Whether it’s a specific sensor model that works well for frequent triggers or tips on configuring existing sensors, your input would be invaluable. Let’s collaborate to find a solution that ensures seamless lighting in my hallway!

Thanks in advance for your help!
