Hello everyone! I’m in the process of setting up my new home and have been exploring various smart bulbs to find the perfect fit for my lighting needs. I came across some interesting discussions here and thought I’d share my experience and seek your advice.
My primary goal is to find a white smart bulb that can dim all the way down to about 1-5% brightness. This is crucial for creating the right ambiance, especially in areas like my living room where I often entertain guests. Additionally, I want the bulb to respond to quick light switch toggles, both on and off. This feature is important because I frequently use physical switches alongside my smart devices for convenience.
I’ve tried a few options so far:
- Hue: The dimming range is excellent, but I’ve noticed that flipping the light switch quickly doesn’t always turn the bulb on. It seems like it requires a full power cycle to reset, which is a bit of a hassle.
- Lightify and Sengled: These bulbs work well with quick switch flips, but their dimming range only goes down to about 30%, which isn’t low enough for my needs.
I’m now considering other brands like Eufy or GE. Has anyone had success with these brands in meeting both the dimming range and quick switch compatibility requirements? I’d love to hear about your experiences and any recommendations you might have. Your insights would be incredibly helpful as I continue my search!
Thank you in advance for your time and assistance!
