I’ve been enjoying the integration of my PowerSeries DSC Alarm panel with Google Assistant through openHAB, but I’ve encountered an inconsistency that I’m eager to resolve. While the alarm system behaves as expected—disarming when already disarmed—the gate automation doesn’t follow the same logic. When the gate is fully closed and I instruct Google Assistant to ‘close the gate,’ it responds with ‘Sure, closing the gate,’ even though the gate is already closed. This behavior seems inconsistent compared to how the alarm system operates. I suspect the issue lies in how the gate’s state is being communicated to Google Assistant, but I’m unsure where to begin troubleshooting. Any insights or pointers would be greatly appreciated!
