Hi all, I’ve been diving into the world of smart home automation and have encountered a few challenges that I’m hoping the community can help me with. I recently set up an OpenHABian instance, but I’m running into some issues during the installation process. Specifically, I’m trying to install Zigbee2MQTT, and I keep encountering errors that I can’t quite pinpoint. The logs show a failed git clone operation, and I’m not sure if it’s a connectivity issue or something else on my end. Has anyone else experienced similar problems or have tips on troubleshooting this?
Additionally, I’m curious about the best practices for integrating multiple smart devices, especially floodlights and motion sensors. I’ve heard great things about the Govee Flood Lights and TV Dreamveiw, but I’m not entirely sure how to optimize their performance or if there are any compatibility tips I should be aware of. Any advice or experiences shared would be incredibly helpful!
On another note, I’ve been experimenting with YAML mode for my configurations and have noticed that deleted entities are lingering in my developer states page. It’s a bit frustrating having to manually remove them each time. I’m wondering if there’s a more streamlined way to handle this or if others have found a workaround to keep their UI clean and organized.
I’m really excited about the potential of my smart home setup and am eager to overcome these hurdles. Any guidance, tips, or shared experiences would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance for your help and insights. Let’s keep the community spirit alive and make everyone’s smart home journey a bit smoother!
