Seeking Solutions for Smart Home Challenges

Greetings, fellow smart home enthusiasts! I hope this message finds you well. I’ve been diving into the world of smart home automation for a while now, and while it’s been an incredible journey, I’ve encountered a few hurdles that I’m eager to overcome. I’m reaching out to this wonderful community for some guidance and insights.

Firstly, I’ve been struggling with my Wyze Cam Outdoor v2 cameras. Over the past few weeks, they’ve been constantly going offline, which is quite frustrating. The Wyze app shows them as offline, and I’m not sure what’s causing this issue. I’ve tried restarting them, checking the network connection, and even updating the firmware, but nothing seems to resolve the problem. Has anyone else experienced this, and if so, how did you manage to fix it?

Another challenge I’m facing is with my MQTT setup. I have a Sonoff TH16 thermostat that I’ve configured with Tasmota, and while the thermostat itself is working perfectly, I’m having trouble getting the switch status to display correctly in the frontend. The console logs show the necessary MQTT topics and payloads, but the switch entity isn’t reflecting the correct state. I’ve tried adjusting the configuration multiple times, but I’m not quite sure where I’m going wrong. Any advice or tips would be greatly appreciated!

Lastly, I’ve been trying to integrate my Nuki smart lock into my MQTT ecosystem. Despite the lock being connected to my broker, I’m unable to send lock/unlock commands. I’ve followed the documentation closely, but it seems like the commands aren’t being processed correctly. I’m wondering if there’s something I’m missing or if there’s a specific way to format the MQTT messages for Nuki to recognize them. Additionally, I’d love to see some example commands in the official documentation to clarify the process.

I’m truly grateful for any help or suggestions you can offer. This community has been a fantastic resource, and I’m hopeful that together we can find solutions to these challenges. If anyone has faced similar issues or has successfully implemented these setups, please share your experiences—I’d love to learn from your insights!

Thank you all in advance for your time and assistance. Let’s continue to make our smart homes smarter together!
