Seeking Solutions for Wyze Doorbell Connectivity and 3EM Logging

Hi all, I wanted to share an interesting challenge I’ve encountered with my Wyze Outdoor Doorbell and also touch on a feature request for my 3EM energy monitor. I’ve been using Wyze cameras for quite some time now, and they’ve always been reliable—until recently. My doorbell, which worked flawlessly for over a year, has started experiencing intermittent Wi-Fi connectivity issues. It connects fine after a reboot, but after a few hours, it goes offline again. I’ve tried resetting both the router and the doorbell, but the issue persists. Does anyone have any tips or tricks to resolve this? I’m starting to think it might be a firmware-related issue, but I’m not sure how to verify or fix that.

On another note, I’ve been exploring the capabilities of my 3EM energy monitoring device. It’s fantastic for tracking energy consumption, but I’m curious about its ability to log peak power usage. From what I can see, it logs energy consumption at a one-minute interval, which gives me an idea of average usage, but I’d love to know if it can capture peak power draws. This would be incredibly useful for identifying high-energy appliances or optimizing my home’s energy efficiency. If anyone knows of a workaround or a feature that allows this, I’d greatly appreciate the insight!

I’m really hoping to find some solutions here. Thanks in advance for your help!
