Hey everyone, I’m diving into the world of smart lighting for my new home, and I’m on the hunt for the ideal 2-gang switch module. Let me share my journey so far and see if anyone can shed some light (pun intended) on this for me!
I’ve been exploring various options, and my main criteria are pretty specific: it needs to work on 220V (since we’re in the UK), doesn’t require a neutral wire (which likely means it’ll be a dimmer), and has to fit neatly behind a standard toggle switch. I also need it to be 2 gang, which means it should fit into a single-width socket without needing two separate modules. Plus, compatibility with Hubitat drivers is a must for me.
I’ve scoured the market and forums, but finding a device that ticks all these boxes has been a bit of a challenge. Some options seem close, but they often fall short in one area or another. For instance, I came across a few that are 2 gang but don’t support Hubitat, or they require a neutral wire, which complicates things for my setup.
I’m really hoping the community can help me out here. If anyone has stumbled upon a device that meets most or all of these requirements, or even has some workaround suggestions, I’d be incredibly grateful! Let’s see if we can crack this together. Thanks in advance for your insights and recommendations!
