I’m Dekade, a senior citizen living alone, and I’ve been using Hubitat since 2019 for basic automation tasks like turning on my garage light when the garage door opens. While I consider myself pretty tech-savvy, I’m completely lost when it comes to setting up a security camera system. I just want to install one camera outside my house so I can monitor my front yard and driveway from my Android phone and Windows 10 computer, especially when I’m in the basement working on my hobbies.
I’ve heard that Blue Iris software and Duhua Starlight cameras might be the way to go, but I’m not sure how to get everything hooked up and working with Hubitat. I wish there was a straightforward, step-by-step guide for someone like me who’s just starting out with surveillance systems. I’ve managed to navigate Hubitat’s Rule Machine before, but I know I’ll need some assistance to get this project off the ground.
