Setting Up a VPN Server on Raspberry Pi for Remote Home Control

I recently decided to set up a VPN server on my Raspberry Pi to remotely control my smart home devices while I’m away. After some research, I came across a great tutorial for setting up an L2TP VPN server on Raspberry Pi. The process was straightforward, and I managed to connect my iPhone to the VPN using the Pocket Control HM app. It’s amazing to be able to switch lights on and off while I’m out, especially when I forgot to turn them off before leaving the house. I also explored different VPN protocols like PPTP, L2TP, and OpenVPN, and found L2TP to be the most reliable for my setup. If anyone has tips on optimizing the VPN for better performance, I’d love to hear them!
