Hi everyone, I’m working on setting up two v2 cameras without any internet access after the initial setup. I’ve read through a lot of the forums and it seems like this should be possible, but I want to make sure I’m on the right track. I’ll be using Windows 10 Home and a CenturyLink C1000a modem, though it won’t be connected to the internet. My main goal is to have 24/7 recording in loop mode and be able to view recordings while both cameras are still recording.
I’m planning to load the RTSP firmware and get everything set up with internet access first, then move it to my family member’s location where there’s no internet. I’m not entirely sure about the software setup on the PC, so any recommendations or potential pitfalls would be really helpful. I’ve heard about some issues with RTSP firmware, so I want to make sure I’m not missing anything crucial.
If anyone has experience with this kind of setup or knows of any specific software that works well for offline recording and viewing, I’d greatly appreciate the advice. Thanks in advance for your help!
