Hey everyone, I wanted to share my recent success with integrating a Shelly 1 into my home automation setup. I’ve been new to this scene, so I was pretty excited to get my hands on the Shelly 1 and a Button1 to control my ceiling light. While I managed to connect everything and control the light via the Shelly app, I ran into a bit of a snag when trying to set up the Button1 to toggle the light. At first, nothing seemed to work—no response from the Shelly when I pressed the button. I tried all sorts of troubleshooting: changing device modes, adjusting channel names, even setting up a scene. Nothing worked until I stumbled upon a solution online. Turns out, I needed to ensure the Shelly 1 was set to “toggle” mode and that the Button1 was correctly configured with the right URL. Once I got that sorted, it worked like a charm! I’m thrilled to have this working smoothly, especially since it’s set up to function locally, so it’ll keep working even if the internet goes out.
