Hello everyone, I recently decided to upgrade my home automation setup and came across the Shelly 1L switch. I wanted to install it to control a single light with two switches, both using the old EU standard without a neutral wire. At first, I was a bit overwhelmed by the wiring diagrams, but after some research and reaching out to the community, I managed to get it working smoothly. The process taught me a lot about 2-way switching and the importance of understanding wiring standards!
While working on this project, I also started thinking about adding outdoor cameras for better security. I’ve been considering the Wyze Cam v3 and the Wyze Outdoor Cam. After reading some reviews and seeing what others have shared, I’m leaning towards the Wyze Outdoor Cam for its weather resistance, but I’m still curious to hear more experiences, especially regarding night vision and motion detection accuracy.
Another thing I’ve been exploring is integrating my devices with Homey. I’ve set up some flows using Netatmo sensors and a Shelly plug to control a heater in my summer home. It’s been working well, but I’ve noticed some occasional communication issues where the Shelly plug doesn’t turn off as expected. I’m looking into adding a check loop to ensure everything runs smoothly. If anyone has tips on reliable flow setups, I’d love to hear them!
Overall, this journey has been both challenging and rewarding. It’s amazing how much you can accomplish with the right tools and a bit of research. I’m excited to continue exploring and improving my smart home setup. Thanks for all the helpful advice and support from this community! ![]()
