Shelly 2.5 MQTT Integration and Smart Lock Status Update

Hello everyone! I wanted to share my recent experience integrating a Shelly 2.5 device into my smart home setup. After some trial and error, I managed to get it working seamlessly with my Home Assistant installation. I initially faced some challenges with MQTT detection, but switching to the CoAP protocol and using the Shelly plugin in HACS made all the difference. Now, I can control my roller shutter effortlessly through automations, which has been a game-changer for my daily routine. :tada:

On another note, I’ve been testing the Kwikset smart lock and must say, it’s been a solid addition to my security setup. While I did encounter some occasional status discrepancies, restarting the app typically resolved the issue. It’s reassuring to know that the lock status updates accurately most of the time, especially when I’m away from home. The integration with my smart home hub has been smooth, and I appreciate the reliability it brings to my routine. :lock:

I’ve also been impressed by the mobile presence detection feature. Even with my internet down for a few days, my phone still accurately tracked my comings and goings. It’s a small detail, but it adds a layer of convenience that I hadn’t fully appreciated before. :iphone:

If anyone has tips on optimizing MQTT configurations or improving smart lock reliability, I’d love to hear them! Happy smart home tinkering! :rocket:
