I’ve been experimenting with integrating smart home tech into my solar-powered outdoor lighting setup, and this one really caught my attention. Turns out, you can run a Shelly 2.5 on 12V by simply adding a single wire—connecting N to the internal +12V. It’s a bit of a DIY tweak, but the results are pretty impressive!
Now, I know what you’re thinking—does this void the warranty? Yep, unfortunately, it does. But for me, the benefits outweigh the risks. The power measurement doesn’t work perfectly, but the relays switch like a charm, and I can now remotely control my solar-powered lights from my phone.
