Hey everyone, I’ve been experimenting with the Shelly 2.5 devices for roller shutter control, and I wanted to share my experience and ask for some help. I’ve successfully set up three roller shutters using the Shelly 2.5, but unfortunately, only one is working perfectly. The others are behaving differently despite identical wiring and button configurations. Here’s what I’ve done so far:
- Device Type: Set to Roller Shutter
- Input Buttons Mode: Open & Close Buttons
- Button Type: Toggle
The working roller shutter functions as expected: pressing the first button opens the shutter, and pressing it again stops it. The second button does the same for closing. Both the web interface and the app allow me to control the shutter’s movements smoothly.
However, the other two roller shutters aren’t responding the same way. Pressing the first button opens the shutter, but pressing the second button doesn’t stop it—it just reverses the direction. In the web interface and app, the stop function doesn’t work; instead, the shutter stops when the opposite direction is pressed. It’s almost as if the Shelly isn’t installed at all. I’ve tried switching the Button Type between Momentary and Toggle, but it makes no difference.
I’ve also updated the firmware, reset the device, and rebooted it multiple times, but none of these actions have resolved the issue. I’m wondering if anyone else has encountered this problem or if there’s something I might have overlooked in the configuration.
Any insights or suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance for your help. ![]()
